Rhode Island Tea Party April 15th 2009

April 15th, 2009

It was a beautiful day with just enough breeze to make the flags blow. The sign says it all.

The independent man would be proud

That’s the Independent Man on top of the RI State House. It’s a Lively Experiment.

US President pleases PLO during Passover?

April 10th, 2009

Obama releases waiver for Washington based PLO office. while he’s celebrating a Passover Seder at the White House.

This is just incredibly wrong. It’s not a protocol gaffe or anything else – it’s a direct slap at the Jewish people and the state of Israel, particularly when celebrating their release from captivity. Disgusting.

I’m guessing BHO didn’t learn about Balaam and his ass in Jeremiah Wright’s congregation, because he’s cursing Israel when he should be blessing them.

May God have mercy upon the United States of America.

GM, President Obama & Fascism

March 30th, 2009

Michael Ledeen wrote an interesting article “We are all Fascists Now” when Newsweek declared We Are All Socialists Now”

The next 2 parts of a great video series lay out what is happening right now!

Since President Obama demanded that GM’s CEO, Rick Wagoner resign how is it a free-market now?

Can political favor be purchased for market gains and means?

Is the President of the United States now the de-facto Chairman of the Board of GM?

Hand-waving and political gamesmanship won’t do, because it is part of the process.

Fascism – we’re already there.

BTW – Obama’s fascist popularity is not centered around nationalistic war, but cultural war. I’m certain similarities to other fascist leaders will easily be found if one is willing to look.

The American Form of Government

March 17th, 2009

It took me a while to track down the origin of this video, which was seen all over the Internet. It was produced by the John Birch Society, and John McManus, their president, narrated the video.

Actually this is Part 2 of a 4 part series. The whole thing can also be ordered on DVD.

Burning of HMS Gaspee – Inspired Boston Tea Party – a true story

March 3rd, 2009
Comments Off
Brownell-Burning of the GaspeeThe Bostonians were late to the party – in 1772 Rhode Islanders decided upon a more radical protest of taxation: they burned the HMS Gaspee, a royal revenue cutter, to the waterline.
Not sure what the equivalent would look like today, but clearly the whole taxation thing, along with the President’s calls for us to invest in the market (?!!) could fan some dissenting flames.

Remember – if you’re going to make tea, you have to heat the water first.

Revoking Mexico City Policy – how Obama addresses immigration

January 25th, 2009

Abortion =  a more expensive contraceptive.

Why install fences when you can simply convince pregnant women to abort in other countries?

Obama does want change – but it’s not what people think.

Barack Obama – a dedicated flavor…

November 14th, 2008

And now for something completely different:

Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit points out what others are beginning to see – there is something most bizarre with the increasing adoration of The One® (pbuh), highlighted in this blog post:

Obamania Nightmare (Sure to Be One in a Series)
Brian Doherty | November 13, 2008, 7:35pm

To sum it up – the adoration is moving beyond reason.

Really?

Coming from a Pro-Obama magazine, is that cause for concern?

Leave it to court jesters that when things get too serious, they’ll be there with some levity:

The “Thin Bright Line” moved

November 10th, 2008

Numerous abortion-choicers are confused about the extent of almost the entire pro-life community’s mourning over the election results; to them it was simply an election. Across pro-life blogs there is a grave concern, but how do you summarize this?  The words most clearly expressing the event come from terminology used in Gonzales vs Carhart:

The thin bright line has moved outside the womb.

Can it ever be the same?

The law itself has not changed, but then again it has.

We are the law. If you want to describe a living breathing document – then the Constitution, as a set of principles, is found within us.

So what has happened in the US is that life – all life has now become suspect, because we have elected a chief executive who cannot tell the difference between right and wrong – indicating we ourselves do not know the difference.

It’s like entering a delusional state where the mind disconnects from reality, and the concern is on the “idea” and not the outworking of that “idea” in the real world.

If Born Alive protections do not cover any child “born alive” then we have to include all those of us who’ve been born alive.

A simpler way – anyone and everyone is fair game for death.

“Utter failure of government to protect it’s citizens” – Irony

November 5th, 2008

From the front page blurb for a NYTimes editorial:

The Next President

Barack Obama won the election because he saw what is wrong with this country: the utter failure of government to protect its citizens.

Given his votes on Illinois BAIPA, this is utter irony, don’t ya think?

Leave it to the New York Times to miss it completely.

So what happens when you put iron thrufire?
