GM, President Obama & Fascism

March 30th, 2009

Michael Ledeen wrote an interesting article “We are all Fascists Now” when Newsweek declared We Are All Socialists Now”

The next 2 parts of a great video series lay out what is happening right now!

Since President Obama demanded that GM’s CEO, Rick Wagoner resign how is it a free-market now?

Can political favor be purchased for market gains and means?

Is the President of the United States now the de-facto Chairman of the Board of GM?

Hand-waving and political gamesmanship won’t do, because it is part of the process.

Fascism – we’re already there.

BTW – Obama’s fascist popularity is not centered around nationalistic war, but cultural war. I’m certain similarities to other fascist leaders will easily be found if one is willing to look.

Barack Obama – a dedicated flavor…

November 14th, 2008

And now for something completely different:

Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit points out what others are beginning to see – there is something most bizarre with the increasing adoration of The One® (pbuh), highlighted in this blog post:

Obamania Nightmare (Sure to Be One in a Series)
Brian Doherty | November 13, 2008, 7:35pm

To sum it up – the adoration is moving beyond reason.

Really?

Coming from a Pro-Obama magazine, is that cause for concern?

Leave it to court jesters that when things get too serious, they’ll be there with some levity:

The “Thin Bright Line” moved

November 10th, 2008

Numerous abortion-choicers are confused about the extent of almost the entire pro-life community’s mourning over the election results; to them it was simply an election. Across pro-life blogs there is a grave concern, but how do you summarize this?  The words most clearly expressing the event come from terminology used in Gonzales vs Carhart:

The thin bright line has moved outside the womb.

Can it ever be the same?

The law itself has not changed, but then again it has.

We are the law. If you want to describe a living breathing document – then the Constitution, as a set of principles, is found within us.

So what has happened in the US is that life – all life has now become suspect, because we have elected a chief executive who cannot tell the difference between right and wrong – indicating we ourselves do not know the difference.

It’s like entering a delusional state where the mind disconnects from reality, and the concern is on the “idea” and not the outworking of that “idea” in the real world.

If Born Alive protections do not cover any child “born alive” then we have to include all those of us who’ve been born alive.

A simpler way – anyone and everyone is fair game for death.

The last best hope?

November 10th, 2008

Peter Hitchen’s posted a most interesting comment:

The night we waved goodbye to America… our last best hope on Earth
09 November 2008 1:32 AM

(excerpt)

As I walked, I crossed another of Washington’s secret frontiers. There had been a few white people blowing car horns and shouting, as the result became clear. But among the Mexicans, Salvadorans and the other Third World nationalities, there was something like ecstasy.

They grasped the real significance of this moment. They knew it meant that America had finally switched sides in a global cultural war. Forget the Cold War, or even the Iraq War. The United States, having for the most part a deeply conservative people, had until now just about stood out against many of the mistakes which have ruined so much of the rest of the world.

Suspicious of welfare addiction, feeble justice and high taxes, totally committed to preserving its own national sovereignty, unabashedly Christian in a world part secular and part Muslim, suspicious of the Great Global Warming panic, it was unique.

These strengths had been fading for some time, mainly due to poorly controlled mass immigration and to the march of political correctness. They had also been weakened by the failure of America’s conservative party – the Republicans – to fight on the cultural and moral fronts.

They preferred to posture on the world stage. Scared of confronting Left-wing teachers and sexual revolutionaries at home, they could order soldiers to be brave on their behalf in far-off deserts. And now the US, like Britain before it, has begun the long slow descent into the Third World. How sad. Where now is our last best hope on Earth? (CA- my emphasis)

Our last best hope is not a country, but a person.
He’s here – you just can’t see him if you don’t open your eyes and your heart.

He is Y’shua – haMashiach : Jesus Christ.

“Utter failure of government to protect it’s citizens” – Irony

November 5th, 2008

From the front page blurb for a NYTimes editorial:

The Next President

Barack Obama won the election because he saw what is wrong with this country: the utter failure of government to protect its citizens.

Given his votes on Illinois BAIPA, this is utter irony, don’t ya think?

Leave it to the New York Times to miss it completely.

So what happens when you put iron thrufire?

Powerful delusions? – Yep, that describes it.

Is Obama the Anti-Christ?
All Saint’s Day Newsletter.
by Michael O’Brien

I’ll save the suspense – he doesn’t believe he is, but he does draw some startling observations – one which can be found in another fascinating article on NRO, (not a group that’s given to over-the-top material), that describes a work of fiction from 1907 in England, that’s uncannily accurate regarding this current election:

The One We Were Waiting For
By Rev. George W. Rutler

With a quick google search I found the book is in the public domain.

If you want you can read the book he describes in it’s entirety:

Lord of the World
- by Msgr. Robert Hugh Benson

I can’t imagine someone who may be called upon to be the President of the World, not devolving into a egotistical megamaniac, and sees himself as ‘god’.

Very plausible, but scary considering that when campaigning in Berlin, Germany (gee – that was the home of another mega-maniac) Obama was called the future President of the World by the narrator, right after his speech!

It wasn’t Obama’s rhetorical skill…

November 3rd, 2008

Jill Stanek gave me the audio for Obama’s Senate floor argument against Born Alive Legislation.

Here’s the recording – the commentary is mine alone.

After it was posted I realized I should have indicated that in the video, although Jill did so in her article.

There were two other pieces of legislation spoken of in the full recording I received – SB 1661, and SB 1662 which had minimal discussion, and passed without a problem, so I edited them out.

Given time constraints, I removed the audio at the end of the 1663, which covers the actual voting, and then a request for verification and an additional request for a Roll Call, which reset the vote because State Senator Klemm was missing. It appears Klemm voted for passage of the Bill, then left the chamber – causing the total yeas to drop by one and thus nullifying passage.

What caused Klemm to leave or whether he was even present is currently an unknown.
