The last best hope?

November 10th, 2008

Peter Hitchen’s posted a most interesting comment:

The night we waved goodbye to America… our last best hope on Earth
09 November 2008 1:32 AM

(excerpt)

As I walked, I crossed another of Washington’s secret frontiers. There had been a few white people blowing car horns and shouting, as the result became clear. But among the Mexicans, Salvadorans and the other Third World nationalities, there was something like ecstasy.

They grasped the real significance of this moment. They knew it meant that America had finally switched sides in a global cultural war. Forget the Cold War, or even the Iraq War. The United States, having for the most part a deeply conservative people, had until now just about stood out against many of the mistakes which have ruined so much of the rest of the world.

Suspicious of welfare addiction, feeble justice and high taxes, totally committed to preserving its own national sovereignty, unabashedly Christian in a world part secular and part Muslim, suspicious of the Great Global Warming panic, it was unique.

These strengths had been fading for some time, mainly due to poorly controlled mass immigration and to the march of political correctness. They had also been weakened by the failure of America’s conservative party – the Republicans – to fight on the cultural and moral fronts.

They preferred to posture on the world stage. Scared of confronting Left-wing teachers and sexual revolutionaries at home, they could order soldiers to be brave on their behalf in far-off deserts. And now the US, like Britain before it, has begun the long slow descent into the Third World. How sad. Where now is our last best hope on Earth? (CA- my emphasis)

Our last best hope is not a country, but a person.
He’s here – you just can’t see him if you don’t open your eyes and your heart.

He is Y’shua – haMashiach : Jesus Christ.

“Utter failure of government to protect it’s citizens” – Irony

November 5th, 2008

From the front page blurb for a NYTimes editorial:

The Next President

Barack Obama won the election because he saw what is wrong with this country: the utter failure of government to protect its citizens.

Given his votes on Illinois BAIPA, this is utter irony, don’t ya think?

Leave it to the New York Times to miss it completely.

So what happens when you put iron thrufire?

What’s being decided in the 2008 election?

November 4th, 2008

I saw this comparison on a blog, but at this point I can’t remember where (I’ve poured over so many lately). This election is about two dichotomous views:

Man is evil and free markets are good.
vs
Man is good and free markets are evil.

On the morality of man: the Holy Bible unequivocally declares man is evil.
On the second issue of prosperity: God commands us to be fruitful and multiply, and to invest in the kingdom of God.

In case it hasn’t been apparent – the Cold War is being voted on here:

American Dream vs National Socialism.

If you’ve been raised in America, and you can’t explain why the American Dream deserves your vote, then obviously you don’t know the Holy Bible or Jesus Christ.

John McCain’s Heart

November 3rd, 2008

A nurse entered and seemed surprised to find anyone there, and it wasn’t long before I found out why: Almost no one visits anymore. In his time, which was not very long ago, Mo Udall was one of the most-sought-after men in the Democratic Party. Yet as he dies in a veterans hospital a few miles from the Capitol, he is visited regularly only by a single old political friend, John McCain. “He’s not going to wake up this time,” McCain said.

…McCain spoke of how it affected him when Udall took him in hand. It was a simple act of affection and admiration, and for that reason it meant all the more to McCain. It was one man saying to another, We disagree in politics but not in life. It was one man saying to another, party political differences cut only so deep. Having made that step, they found much to agree upon and many useful ways to work together. This is the reason McCain keeps coming to see Udall even after Udall has lost his last shred of political influence. The politics were never all that important.

Time to Vote

November 3rd, 2008

I have numerous reasons to believe John McCain and Sarah Palin may win this election, despite the extremities (or because of them) presented by the media, and their polls.

I’ve read close to 1000 presidential polls will have been conducted in the final stretch after the conventions. That’s insane.

I completely discount the polls because of such extremities. there seems to be too many new unknowns, such as the widespread use of YouTube, for the polling companies to be that accurate, and if people are considering prior polls while giving new polls, then that’s like the clockmaker who set his clocks by the bell at the nearby factory and the factory foreman who rings the bell setting his watch by the clock in the window of the clockmaker.

There’s only one poll, one clock, which really matters – the official vote, which is vastly different than all the others, because that clock is the heart of the American people.

Something scary…

October 31st, 2008

Approaching that scary day…(hint: It’s not Halloween…)

October 25th, 2008

Lydia at What’s Wrong with the World provides some comic relief from the election cycle:

Cute. Explains DKOS, RHRC and the usual.

However, my son pointed out that reality is stranger than fiction.

Apparently the children have never picked up bloody body pieces, nor been exposed to reality.
Strange, considering their siblings and generation has been ripped apart – Maybe they are trying to tell us something?

Speaking of Zombies – Check out this article The Left’s Big Blunder at ZombieTime.

As usual, Zombie shows clear thinking in the midst of insanity.

Speaking of the undead – maybe that’s what Acorn has been working on with it’s voter registrations!

Obama mocks a possible future constituent…who’s next? You?

October 18th, 2008

If there was ever a case of a presidential candidate mocking someone who is the reason he’s in office in the first place, this is it.

Clearly Obama isn’t running for the Presidency of the United States.

He mocks and slanders US citizens. (As you can see against Joe Wurzelbacher)
He approves of killing US citizens. (Votes and lies against IL Born Alive Infant Protection Act)
Sending officials to attack US citizens.
He steals from the US.
He undermines his own government (Via Acorn and Iraq Status of Forces Agreement)

People are hoping for change – if Obama is elected, that’s just what they’ll get.

I can’t believe the irony: we overthrew Iraq to free their people from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein only to place ourselves under the tyranny of Barack Hussein Obama and his media minions.

Update: Iowahawk has commentary and action here.

He summarizes how I, and many others, feel:

Born Alive Truth

September 16th, 2008

Lately all my posts have been focused on one thing – Barack Obama and Born Alive Infant Protections. Currently I don’t have a lot of free time to write new essays (despite the desire to do so), but this one issue: the right to life, is vitally important – it’s the foundation of all other rights.

Gianna Jessen knows that completely and she has something to tell presidential nominee, Mr. Obama.

What’s the difference between a POW and an aborted infant before BAIPA?

Then I was thrown in a dirty room and left to die.
